Ghana’s Para sports team has bagged another Silver Medal at the ongoing All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville. Patrick Yaw Obeng placed second in the Men’s 800m T54 final on Tuesday at the Stadel’Unite. Obeng was part of the Ghanaian trio in the finals and emerged as the second fastest man in the wheelchair race clocking time of 1:51.44 behind Tunisian winner Gharbi Yassine who finished with the of time if 1:51.25.
The other Ghanaian competitors were Botsyo Nkegbe with the time of (1:53.12, 4th) and Felix Acheampong also clocking (7th, 1:53.72). Botsyo Nkegbe won the first silver medal on Monday in the 100m race.
The Ghana para sports team has won 2 silver medals so far at the 11th edition at the Pan Africa Multi-sport in Congo Brazzaville. Ghana has 12 medals to show so far at the games.
