This past Tuesday, Alborsaidy Club pulled off  a historic win during the opening round of Egypt’s men’s sitting volleyball Premiere League in Port Said when they blanked the Cairo-based Union 25 – 0.

The team was assisted by team member Mohamed Saad  (Arabic: محمد سعد ), who plays for the Egyptian national team. Saad was congratulated for his performance in the historic victory by Egyptian Paralympic Committee Board of Administration.

Saad discussed his performance on Facebook, saying, “Praise be to Allah Lord of the Worlds and compromise, but from God. God, thanks to the help of my team stars and the stars of the national team and the effort Mderbini earned this achievement.” (Arabic: “الحمدلله رب العالمين وماتوفيقى الا من عندالله. بفضل الله وبمساعدة زملائي نجوم الفريق ونجوم المنتخب الوطني وبمجهود مدربيني حصل هذا الانجاز”)

Later this year, Saad should be in Rio where the Egypt men’s national team will be trying to win a Paralympic medal.
