Alex Bunney, Goalball UK National Development Manager, announces departure

Goalball UK National Development Manager Alex Bunney has announced that he will be departing the organization in a letter shared with clubs, players and officials.  The last event he will work will be the GB Cup scheduled for next weekend, with his last day in the office scheduled for April 10.  He plans to continue with coaching  and refereeing at the domestic level.



In his letter, Bunney said, “I would like to thank you for all your efforts and support in developing Goalball while I have been in post. It truly has been a remarkable 4 years with some great memories! I can honestly say Goalball has changed my life! Since I joined in January 2011 the sport has been transformed and that has been down to you the Goalball community driving things forward, please continue to help grow our great sport!


Bunney joined the organization in January 2011, and saw the organization through the London Paralympics. He has also served as the Great Britain Goalball Men’s Assistant Coach since October of last year, and was the Official Services Group Leader (Goalball) for LOCOG from July 2012 to September 2012.
