Earlier today in Tokyo, Japan, Argentina defeated Spain on penalty kicks to qualify for the final of the  IBSA Blind Football World Championships.  Regular time ended at a 0 – 0 draw.

Brazil is currently playing China to determine who will play Argentina for gold. Argentina and Brazil are the only teams to have ever won the competition.   Argentina would have a better time against China, whom they have beaten on two previous meetings.  Argentina has a losing record against Brazil, with 4 wins, 6 losses and 2 draw.

In other games in the competition, France defeated South Korea 2 – 1 to finish in ninth place.  In a game that came down to penalty kicks, Turkey defeated Morocco to finish in eleventh place.
