Argentinians Isidro Berlanga and Nicolas Lahitte win men’s double gold at South American Deaf Games

Argentinians Isidro Berlanga and Nicolas Lahitte won the gold in the men’s double event  at South American Deaf Games.

The Argentines defeated Ecuador  5 – 4 in the third set to claim their gold.  Argentina won the first set 6 – 4. Ecuador had won the second set 6 – 1 to force the third set.

 

Other medals won by Argentina at these games so far include a bronze in karate in the 67kg division, Celest Puñet’s gold in the women’s 100 meter butterfly and Belen Lucek’s silver in the same event, Emanuel Llanos’s bronze in the men’s 100 meter butterfly, Diana Valentini’s gold in the women’s 50 meter freestyle and Lucek’s bronze in the same event, Puñet´s gold in the women’s 400 meter freestyle and Lucek’s bronze in the same event, Llanos’s silver in the men’s 400 meter freestyle, Puñet’s gold and Lucek’s silver in the women’s 100 meter breaststroke, Diana Valentini’s gold and Lucek’s silver in the 100 meter women’s freestyle, Llanos’s silver in the men’s 100 meter freestyle, Puñet’s gold and Lucek’s silver in the women’s 100 meter medley, Argentina’s gold in the 4 x 200 meter freestyle, and Valentini’s gold in the 200 meter.
