Auckland 2 wins North Island wheelchair basketball championship

Earlier today at the ASB Sports Centre in Kilbirnie, the Auckland 2 team won the North Island wheelchair basketball championship.


Yesterday,  Auckland 1 beat Auckland 2 by a score of 56 – 24.    Auckland 1 decisively beat Taranaki 52 – 26 in their second game of the competition. Auckland 1 then met the Wellington Hurricanes, where they had another easy win with a final score of 46 – 23. The last match of the day saw Auckland 1 reverse their fortunes of their opener, losing to Auckland 2 41 – 46.

The team had a much light schedule today. They opened against opening against Taranaki and finished against Wellington.
