Australian Rollers warm up for Men’s World Wheelchair Basketball Championships with game against Spain


With the men’s 2014 Incheon World Wheelchair Basketball Championships scheduled to start today, Australia warmed up yesterday by playing a practice game against Spain.

Australia comes into the competition as reigning Paralympic silver medalists. The reigning Paralympic gold medalists, Canada, did not qualify for the competition. In group play, Australia is scheduled to play Sweden, Germany and Italy.

The Spanish side enters the competition with a third place finish in the European Championships. Spain is scheduled to Iran,  Japan and the Netherlands.
