Azərbaycan Milli Paralimpiya Komitəsi President Hasan Mammadov awarded diploma for excellence

Trend News Agency Azerbaijan is reporting that  yesterday, Azərbaycan Milli Paralimpiya Komitəsi President Hasan Mammadov was awarded diploma for excellence by the Council of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations  (Azerbaijani: Qeyri-Hökumət Təşkilatlarına Dövlət Dəstəyi Şurası).



During 2014, 386 NGOs in the country were awarded a total 2,928,292 manat (US$3,739,406) in funding, held 640 training sessions, conducted 287 workshops, published 23 books, 20 brochures, 71 booklets, produced 8 films, and prepated 5 sites as part of an effort to improve the quality of and increase participation in civic life in the country.  The awards diplomas were awarded as part of acknowledging specific progress in this area.


Mammadov was one of 23 recipients of this award that was given out at a meeting of the council  in Baku.  Other recipients included Tahir Xudiyev who is the chair of the International Society of the Disabled, and Makhluqa Rahimova of the Disabled Women Society.
