Yesterday in New Zealand, Bay of Plenty played Waikato in blind cricket at Blake Park in Mount Maunganui and came away winners 97 / 4 to 75 / 4. Brent led in scoring for the Bay of Plenty with 43, while Ben led the Waikato side with 38.

Some members of both teams are member of the New Zealand national side. The game was another opportunity to get in additional experience in advance of their game against the Australian national side in January.

The game was made possible because of several volunteers, including one who stepped in at the last-minute to do the umpiring. Bay of Plenty Cricket provided the venue for the game.
