Belarus, Switzerland, Ukraine and Turkey men win at European Deaf Futsal Championships

The European Deaf Futsal Championships got underway earlier today in Sofia, Bulgaria with Belarus, Switzerland, Ukraine and Turkey all getting wins on the scoreboard on the first day of play.



Belarus defeated Denmark 7 – 1.  Israel lost to Switzerland 4 – 3, Ukraine crushed Moldova 9 – 3, and Hungary couldn’t beat Turkey in a game that finished 3 – 1.


The women’s competition gets underway tomorrow.  The German women’s team spent the morning practicing.  Their delegation includes Frank Hay, Julia Öfele, Clarissa Toma, Laura Möller, Stefanie Ziegler and  Andreas Mühlbauer-Fül.  They play Spain at 2:00 PM local time.
