Brigitte Kröll and Werner Kaiser named Wiener Sport Stars 2014 athlete with a disability of the year

Yesterday, Viennese wheelchair dancers Brigitte Kröll and Werner Kaiser  were named the Wiener Sport Stars 2014 athlete with a disability of the year.  They were presented with the award at the Vienna Rathaus.



Vienna Sport Councillor Christian Oxonitsch said during the ceremony, “The importance and diversity of the sports landscape in Vienna are reflected in the great projects and sportswomen of 3000 clubs in our city again. Using the Wiener Sport Stars Gala, the city appreciates the opportunity to say thank you. Congratulations to all the nominees and the winners.”


Brigitte Kröll and Werner Kaiser dance together, and are both members of the Austrian national team, and are members of the Vienna Rolli-Dancedream.  As of the current IPC world rankings, the pair are ranked third in the world in the Duo standard LWD 2, and fourth in the Duo Latin LWD 2.
