With round robin play having officially wrapped up earlier today at the Australian Powerchair Football Club National Championships at Mt Druitt’s Kevin Betts Stadium, the Brisbane Roar emerged as the top ranked team coming out of group play after finishing the round undefeated.  This sets them up for a Grand Final meeting tomorrow with Central Coast Mariners at Sydney Olympic Park at 12:45 PM local time.

The Roar beat the  Western Sydney Wanderers 3 – 0 in their opening game of the day.  Their last game saw them beat Melbourne City 2 – 1. Central Coast Mariners tied the Newcastle Jets 3 – 3 in their opening match of the day. Their second game saw them tie Western Sydney Wanderers 2 – 2.  The pair of ties created a situation where Mariners, Newcastle Jets and Western Sydney Wanderers were all tied for second on points, and the team that joined the Roar in the Grand Final was then decided on goal difference.

This event is the inaugural one for the Australian Powerchair Football A-League.
