C.D.S. Huelva wins Spanish deaf futsal championship

On Sunday, C.D.S. Huelva won the Spanish deaf futsal championship about a month after winning the European Deaf Champions League. It is the team’s second title in a row.



With the competition kicking off Saturday, Huelva won all four of their games.  On Sunday in elimination play, they also went undefeated.  On their way to victory, the team scored a number of colorful and flamboyant goals.


Huelva players picked up a number of honors following the end of competition.  Emilio Peñalver was named the Best Goalkeeper, Salvatore Terranova scored the most goals in the tournament, and Daniel Alcaraz was named the Best Player.
