With this year’s BISF World Championships in Beijing two months away, Canadian BC3 and BC4 boccia players are headed for Montreal for a national team training camp organized by Canadian Cerebral Palsy Association that starts tomorrow. National team coach Mario Delisle has been very involved with organizing the camp.

Vancouver locals Paul Gauthier and Josh Vander Vies, Verchères based Eric Buissière, Marco Dispaltro of St-Jérôme, and Montral locals Bruno Garneau and Alison Levine are expected to attend.

Four more national team training camps are scheduled before the world championships, including two for BC1/BC2 players, the first in a week and a half, and the next in August from the 22nd to the 24th. There is one more BC3/BC4 camp scheduled for the 15th to 17th of August. There will be one national team training camp after that for everyone on the team.

Elsewhere, EFDC Sports & Health had a boccia event last night at the Loughton Methodist Church in England.
