Catalunya ID indoor hockey championships starts Sunday

This Sunday, Special Olympics Catalunya and Federació Catalana d’esports per a disminuïts psíquics  are hosting the Catalonia ID indoor hockey championships.  The event is scheduled to take place in El Vilar de Malgrat de Mar, with play kicking off at 9:30AM local time and medals being awarded at 5:45 PM.


61 different players from five different teams are scheduled to take part.  The teams include GSIS-Barcanova from Barcelona, Flor de Maig from Cerdanyola del Vallès, Sant Tomàs Parmo/Patí Voltregà from Osona, TEB from Taller Escola Barcelona along with the hosts El Vilar de Malgrat de Mar.

Run concurrently with this event, the Special Olympics Catalunya and Federació Catalana d’esports per a disminuïts psíquics  are also hosting the eleventh edition of the regional ID tennis championship. 48 tennis players from 11 different tennis centers around Catalonia are expected to take part in the competition.
