Earlier today at Kevin Betts Stadium in Mt Druitt, New South Wales, the Central Coast Mariners Powerchair Football Club got their first win of the season when they beat Sydney FC Powerchair Team 1 – 0.

While making his rookie debut for Central Coast,  Jake Vidakovic managed to score the team’s lone and winning goal off an assist from Chris Turnbull.  Kristie McCarthy  kept a clean sheet for the team in goal, assisted by the team’s defense who kept pressure on Sydney throughout the match.

The win came on the back of managing to put points on the ladder last week, when the Mariners drew 2 – 2 with the Western Sydney Wanderers.   Chris Suffield scored both goals for Central Coast in that game, off a pair of assists from Turnball.
