Cordoba, Spain’s Club Fútbol en Silla de Ruedas Los Atómicos have officially begun team training at the Palacio Municipal de Deportes Vista Alegre.  This makes the team one of a few created in the last year in Spain to be actively up and running.

The first powerchair football team is still developing in the country.  The first team in Spain, Furia Power Chair, was only created in mid-2014.  Since then, most of the newly created clubs or attempts at founding clubs have been in Spain’s south, in cities like  Cordoba, Sevilla and Granada.

The sport is continuing to grow on the continent. EPFA have created a club championship that will take place later this year in Hou, Denmark from October 15 to 20. In addition to Denmark, at least three French teams will be participating.
