Croatian women’s sitting volleyball team departs for Braslovče, Slovenia

Earlier today, the Croatian women’s national sitting volleyball team departed Croatia for Braslovče, Slovenia where they are scheduled to play later today and tomorrow in against the Slovenia and Hungary national teams at the Sitting Volleyball International Tournament Maxi 2015.



Slovenia is currently ranked fifth in the world behind Brazil.  The Hungarian women are currently ranked thirteenth in the world, behind twelfth ranked Iran.  Croatia is the lowest ranked women’s national team at the moment, sitting in twentieth place behind Sri Lanka.


The Croatian roster includes Romana BuljVona Jozelić, Andreja Giba, Sanja Mutavdzija, Ružica Pejnović-Modrić, Vlatka Spoljaric, Ljiljana Raic, Sanja Soldo, Katarina Brajdić, and Zora Herceg.


The competition is a warmup for all teams involved, ahead of the European Women’s Sitting Volleyball Championships scheduled to take palace from November 7 to November 15 in Podčetrtek, Slovenia.
