Czech Republic and South Korean men win on first day of 2014 Czech Sledge Open

With the first day of competition concluding yesterday at the 2014 Czech Sledge Open at the Kalich Arena in Litoměřice, the Czech Republic and South Korean men both came away with victories in group play.



The Czech Republic defeated Italy 3 – 1 while the South Koreans put away the German side 6 – 1.  Later today, the Czech Republic is scheduled to play Germany, while the Koreans will play Italy. Competition concludes tomorrow.


The event is a warmup event for some teams who are scheduled to compete at the 2015 IPC Sledge Hockey World Championships, scheduled to be played in Buffalo, New York from April 24 to May 2.
