Czech Republic beats Russia at Czech Sledge Open

With one game played at the three day long Czech Sledge Open that features the Czech Republic, Russia, Sweden and Norway, the host opened with a 2 – 1 victory against Russia.  Pavel Kubeš scored both goals for the Czech Republic, with an assist on one of the Czech Republic’s goals was scored by 2014 Winter Paralympian Michal Geier and the other assist coming from Geieqg.



Later this evening, Norway is scheduled to play Sweden. Tomorrow, Norway meets the Czech Republic and Russia plays Sweden. The competition closes on Sunday with the Czech Republic playing Sweden, and Norway taking on Russia.


The competition is part of the IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Series.  The Czech Republic currently leads the event.
