Yesterday, Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra officially launched their new website at http://disabledsportseasternsierra.org/ . Liz DesRochers took over the design and maintenance after Don Deck retired from the job after ten years of doing it.
Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra is a non-profit disability sport based in Mammoth Lakes, California. They run a variety of programs including alpine skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, kayaking, rock climbing, camping, hiking, cycling, mountain biking, and horseback riding. In 2008, they became a Paralympic Sport Club, and they are affiliated with Disabled Sports USA.
The organization is very involved in the community, and runs a second hand shop to help fund some of the organization’s costs. In the past year, they have also been very busy working to develop a National Wounded Warrior Center.
