Dutch women volleyball team departs for Finland and 2016 Pajulahti Games

Later today, the Dutch women national sitting volleyball team are scheduled to depart for Finland and the 2016 Pajulahti Games. The Netherlands are participating with their eye on readying themselves for the 2016 World ParaVolley Intercontinental Championship in China in March, and claiming the final qualifying spot for the 2016 Rio Games.



Netherlands officially opens their play in the competition against Finland tomorrow at 11:00 AM local time.  They are back in action later that day at 3:00 PM against Ukraine.  On Saturday, they meet the Russia 1 team at 9:00 AM. They face off against Russia 2 at 3:00 PM.  They finish off the competition against Great Britain at 9:00 AM on Sunday.


The Dutch squad for the event includes Martine Wiltshire, Victoria Widdup, Maurillia Simpson, Stacey Byrne, Erica Vey, Carolyne Duffley, Amanda Pollard, Sarah Partridge, Kathleen Hawkins, and Dannielle Hampson-Carroll.
