This week, the Egyptian Paralympic Committee signs cooperation agreement with country’s Ministry of Education.

Under the agreement, they will work together to do a variety of activities aimed at increasing sport and school participation.  The Egyptian Paralympic Committee has agreed to work on organizing activities and sporting events for students with special needs.  They will also work on increasing school enrollment for people with disabilities so students can attend schools closer to home, by providing staff who have the technical skills to work with these students.

For their part, the Ministry of Education has agreed to work on improving physical education teacher training, encourage new and current teachers to attend training workshops hosted by the Egyptian Paralympic Committee and work with existing schools for students with special needs to establish sport programs.
