England takes Blind Criket Ashes from Australia in Adelaide

Yesterday in Adelaide, England took an unassailable 3 – 0 lead in the Lord’s Taverners International Blind Cricket Series against the Australia national blind cricket team, with two games left to play. They are scheduled to take place this Saturday and Sunday.


The Australians went into the game, hoping to change up the results. After winning the toss, they elected to bat second, which was different than their previous games. The English side, unchanged from whom had already started, took this in stride and went on to seal a with by 150 runs. They completed the game with 312 runs in their 40 overs.

England was helped on their way to victory by captain Matt Dead who repeated his performance in the previous game by getting aother century. He was helped by Luke Suggs who scored run 92 and Justin Hollingsworth who contributed 45.

The English team in Australia includes Matt Dean, Justin Hollingsworth, Pete Blueitt, Luke Sugg , Si Ledwith, Mark Turnham, Ed Hossell, Rob Comber, Mahomed Khatri, Dan Field and Hassan Khan.
