Equestrian Joanne Gibson earns third place finish at National Winter Championship

With Dressage Ireland’s National Winter Championship having wrapped up in Cavan earlier today, para-equestrian Joanne Gibson came away with third place finish in the Medium class.



Gibson has a number of high placing finished in the past year. Last month at LaurelView, she competed in the Class 7 Medium category where she finished fourth and first in the Para Grade 4 long arena team event. In February of this year, she participated in the Danescroft event in the Class 8 Medium category, where she finished third on VSH Wannabe.


Last year, Gibson competed at the Dressage Ireland National Championships, where she placed in the National classes.  In April of last year, she also competed at the Two Day Horse Show, finishing second in the 1.10 m while riding Seaview Lass.  In February of last year, she competed at the NID Show where she rode  VSH Wannabe as part of the  Para Grade 4 team test and took home a first place.
