Federação Brasileira de Parataekwondo President Alan Nascimento and his wife are celebrating today the arrival of Brazil’s newest Taekwondista.  Their son was born yesterday weighing in at 4 kg and being 52 cm.  The new father is ecstatic.

The past year has been a good one for Nascimento.  In November, he took over the role of President at the Federação Brasileira de Parataekwondo, while continuing in his role as a teacher in the sport at Academia Physical and Boxe Chinês.

It has also been a good year for Nascimento’s sport of Parataekwondo, both internationally and nationally.  Almost  year ago, the IPC announced their decision to include the sport on the program for the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo.  In November, the country held its first Parataekwondo festival in São Paulo with 205 competitors from across the country participating.
