Federación Española de Deportes para Sordos holds youth sport camp

A weeklong youth sport camp is underway in Tiana, Barcelona that has been organized by Federación Española de Deportes para Sordos.  Starting this past Sunday, it concludes this Saturday.

The first day of camp involved a number of get to know you icebreaker activities, followed by time practicing soccer skills.

The second day involved doing some circuit training, and learning basic exercise skills. Then campers spent some time in the pool. In the afternoon, participants practiced their soccer skills before playing a few games.

The third day of camp started with playing basketball. After that, campers we back in the pool. While there, they were visited by the president of  Federación Española de Deportes para Sordos. In the afternoon, campers were back on the football pitch, improving their skills and playing some more games.

A second camp is scheduled to start this Sunday, last a week and involve many of the same activities as this one. The goal of these camps is to encourage deaf children to learn to enjoy sport, develop team skills, and improve social interactions and integration.
