First day of play finishes at Turniej Amp Futbol Ekstraklasy in Poland

The final game of opening day play at the Poland’s amputee football’s Turniej Amp Futbol Ekstraklasy wrapped up in wet condition’s at Wrocław’s Stadion Miejski.  The tournament opened with Husaria Kraków league champions playing previous tournament and other league champions Lampart Warszawa going up against each other.  The game ended in a 0 – 0 draw.

The second match of the day  saw GKS Góra go up against Kuloodporni Bielsko-Biała. Góra  came out of the confrontation with a 2 – 0 victory.  The third match featured Husaria vs. Gryf.  Husaria scored big, winning 8 – 1. Tomka Misia put himself in the lead for most goals in the tournament, scoring 5 of Husaria’s 8 goals.  The fourth game saw Lampartem blow a 0 – 2 halftime lead and lose to GKS Góra 3 – 2.   The final game of the day saw Gryf win 1 – 0 in their match against Kuloodporni.

The tournament wraps up tomorrow, with Husaria Kraków opening against Kuloodporni Bielsko-Biała. The second match features Lampart Warszawa going up against Gryf Szczecin. GKS Góra then open their day against Husaria Kraków. The fourth match sees Lampart Warszawa play Kuloodporni Bielsko-Biała. Play then wraps up with GKS Góra playing Gryf Szczecin.

Polish amputee football has three additional tournaments scheduled for 2016. The next one takes place in Szczecin from June 18-19. After that, tournament play moves Białka Tatrzańska for a tournament scheduled for July 9-10. Tournament play wraps up for the year in Bielsko-Biała on October 1 and 2.
