First day of play wraps up in wheelchair basketball’s Pardubice Cup Tournament

The first day of play wrapped up yesterday in wheelchair basktball’s  Pardubice Cup Tournament with WBS Pardubice,  Start Wroclaw and Sitting Bulls emerging victories.

Czech side WBS Pardubice won back to back games, defeating fellow Czech side Frýdek Místek by a score of 54 – 42 before taking apart Hungary’s  Törekvés SE Budapest 63 – 33. Frýdek Místek luck did not improve, as they then went down 44 – 72 to Poland’s Start Wroclaw.  In Start Wroclaw’s next game, they completely dismantled Törekvés  84 – 18. In the final match of the day, Austria’s Sitting Bulls kept it much closer than other games when they beat Bosnia and Herzegovina’s KKI Vrbas Banja Luka  55 – 48.

 

Competition wraps up tomorrow in Pardubice, Czech Republic.  Today’s games include  Törekvés versus Sitting Bulls,   WBS Pardubice going up against Start Wroclaw,  KKI Vrbas taking on Törekvés,  Sitting Bulls playing Frýdek Místek, WBS Pardubice versus KKI Vrbas,   Woclaw playing Sitting Bulls , and wrapping up with  KKI Vrbas going up against Frýdek Místek.  Sunday’s matches include  Frýdek Místek playing Törekvés, WBS Pardubice going up against Sitting Bulls, and KKI Vrbas versus Start Wroclaw.
