France’s Corbeil Handibasket defeats Berck

This weekend in France, Corbeil Handibasket defeated Berck in a closely fought contest that ended 59 – 54. Corbeil was pushed to their limits during the game, and plans to take the lessons they learned into their next game in France’s Championnat de France National B.

The team was back in action after a three week break for the holidays.  Their last game prior to the break was at home against CS Meaux, whom they beat 70 – 31 .

Corbeil Handibasket is affiliate with L’association Sportive de Corbeil-Essonnes Handisport.  The organization was founded in 1973 by Auguste Saint Martin after his sport playing son had an accident that left him with a permanent disability.
