French men’s under-22 team arrives in Zaragoza, Spain ahead of next week’s European Championship

On Monday, the French national men’s under-22 team arrived in Zaragoza, Spain ahead of the IWBF European Under-22 Championships. According to Centre Federal Handibasket / Pole National Jeunes Handibasket, the team arrived in fine form. Prior to going to Spain, the team held a training camp in Talence.



The team is scheduled to have training today from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM local time. On Friday, they are scheduled to have a friendly against Germany and local Spanish club side CAI Zaragoza in advance of the tournament.


France is in a group with Great Britain, Italy and Turkey.  The team includes  2.5 point players Yoan Leclercq and Luigi Makambo , 4.5 point players Alexis Ramonet, Thomas Delemme and Jordan Luce, 1 point players Esteban Henriot and Kevin Baillon, 1.5 point player Simon Frinault, 2 point players Sidney Attiogbe and Louis Ardouin, 3 point player Romain Damoizeau and 4 point player Sébastien Evanno.



The tournament officially starts next Monday and is scheduled to run until Sunday. At the 2010 edition of the competition, France beat this year’s hosts in the seventh-eighth placement match.
