The German Nordic ski team wrapped up five day training camp in Oberhof yesterday.  The team was in training for a World Cup event at Vuokatti, Finland that runs from December 10 – 17.

Most of the training was at an indoor facility, where skiers practiced skiing on snow, and shooting.  The team included sit skiers and standing skiers.  The training concluded with a race.  Three sit-skiers took part in one race.

Germany sent an eight strong Nordic team to the 2014 Winter Paralympics earlier this year, with Germany winning three gold medals and a silver.  All the medals were won by women, including Andrea Eskau‘s gold in the biathlon 6km sitting event and cross country 5km sitting race, and Anja Wicker’s gold in biathlon 10km sitting and 12.5km sitting.
