Yesterday in Brazil, the German team lost to Poland 0 – 3 in their final game of group play at the Inas 2014 World Football Championships.  Poland came into the game as group leaders and already having qualified for the semi-finals.

The German side came into the game with three players either on yellow cards or red cards.  Prior to the game, Germany’s head coach Jörg Dittwar said,  “We have played very well in the first game against the Brazilians (1:1). If we catch a very good day, and Poland are spares for the semi-finals, anything can happen.”

With a free day in Brazil prior to their match, the German took advantage of the good weather and their location relative to the beach to have a training session on the sand.

ID football is reasonably well developed in Germany, with a training center in Nordhessen and a German national ID football championship.  The game is also supported on the local level by regional football associations.
