Wheelchair fencing’s U23’s World Cup is currently underway in Stadskannal, Netherlands, and Great Britain’s Rebecca Puckey has picked up a bronze medal in the women’s Cat A Foil event after defeating a French fencer 11-15.

Puckey’s performance was an improvement in other swords in the competition.   She had a fifth place finish in the women’s Cat A Epee.  British Disabled Fencing Association is happy with Puckey’s performance in the event, as she is making her international debut at it.

Great Britain’s Daniel Puckey also picked up a bronze in the men’s Cat A Épée event after beating a Russian fencer 10 – 15.   He won another bronze earlier in the competition in the men’s Cat A U23 Foil event.

Rebecca and Daniel are Great Britain’s only competitors at the event, which is being held at the same location as the IWAS World Junior Games 2015.
