With a day and a half of competition completed at the Kisakallio Wheelchair Curling Tournament 2016, hosts Finland currently are third on the seven team deep ladder.  They are behind Norway and Russia’s first team.  They are ahead of South Korea, Estonia, Sweden and Russia’s second team.

Finland lost their first game of the morning session to South Korea 4 – 7 as a result of the Koreans managing to land their rocks where they needed to be.  Finland could not match this, with a number of subtle problems in rock placement.

The first day of competition saw the Finns easily beat the Estonians 10 – 2.  Their second match of the day saw them up against the Russians, whom they let have an early 3 – 0 lead. The Finns battled back through good tactical rock positioning to finish with a 5 – 7 win.
