IBSA Euro Challenge Cup kicks off on Wednesday

On Wednesday in Prague Březiněves, the IBSA Euro Challenge Cup is scheduled to start  and last until the 13th.  The competition will feature national teams from  Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Moldova. 


The first game is scheduled to be played on Thursday, when Belgium takes on Moldova at 9:00 AM local time.  Group play continues until mid-Friday.  Semifinal play starts Friday afternoon.  The tournament draw took place in early June, and features the Czech Republic, Moldova and Belgium in Group A, and Poland, Romania and Hungary in Group B.

The purpose of the competition is to provide opportunities for development in emerging 5-a-side football playing countries. The competition is funded by UEFA, and organized by IBSA, Czech Blind Sportsmen Association (CBSA) and Blind Sports Club Prague.  Additional support is being provided by the Football Association of the Czech Republic and Prague Březiněves Municipal District.
