Yesterday, the IPC announced a date change for the 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships on their website. Originally scheduled for July 18 to July 25, the new dates are July 13 to July 19.

The Glasgow hosted world championships, taking place at the  Tollcross International Swimming Centre, were originally intended to host the European championships on those dates.  Later, the decision was made to upgrade the competition to the world championships after the IPC swimming calendar being changed.

The next European swimming championships are scheduled for August 2014 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.  This will be the last major European meet before the world championships. Both are key events for any swimmer trying to qualify for the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio.
