On Sunday, the Iraqi Paralympic Committee announced they have scheduled supplementary elections for disability sport unions, including wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis and swimming.  The elections will take place on March 27. Elections for regional Commitee Albochia (لجنتي البوتشيا) in blind judo and table tennis are scheduled for the following day.

The election announcement was made by the Secretary General of the Iraqi Paralympic Committee. The decision to call these elections took place at an executive board meeting last week.  A four person election committee has been formed to handle them.

The sporting unions which will have elections are required to provide materials for authentication and report to the  audit committee.  Any candidate for election to one of these unions must have been actively involved with the organization in 2014, with trainers, classifiers, athletes, members, regional representatives and club representatives eligible to run.
