Kitakyushu Champions Cup scheduled to start tomorrow

The Kitakyushu Champions Cup is scheduled to get underway tomorrow in Japan with Great Britain, Australia, Japan and South Korea’s men’s national under-19 teams participating.  The opening match features Japan taking on South Korea, followed by Great Britain taking on Australia.



Great Britain has sent a twelve member strong team that includes Jim Palmer, Nathan Maguire, Jack Perry, Mark Scholefield, Billy Bridge, Christy Gregan, George Bates, Phil Pratt, Gregg Warburton, Emmanuel Filson, Charlie Fryer-Stevens, and James MacSorley.   They are being led by head coach Mat Foden, who also serves as an assistant coach for Great Britain women’s national wheelchair basketball team, been the head coach for domestic club teams and has coached the Spanish club side Abafe Camp.


Each team will play each other once, before the competition concludes with the medal round on Sunday.  The games will be live streamed.
