Earlier today on Facebook, Blindenfuß said that MTV Stuttgart coach Ulrich Pfisterer had suspended Vedat Sarikaya following his suspension from the German national team in July for unsportsmanlike conduct in a match in Ilves against the English national team.  His team currently sits in first place in the league with 15 points.

At this point in the season, Sarikaya has scored eight goals for his team, where he was the team leader in scoring and second in the league. He had missed three games in the preseason because of a red card. Despite his absence, his team won all three games to finish respectably.  Sarikaya held several domestic league records, including for a while the record for the most goals in a single game, when he scored six in a 2009 match.

Sarikaya was already scheduled to miss the 2014 IBSA Blind Football World Championships as a German representative because of his national team suspension.
