Muzaffar Ali dominates for Islamabad in blind cricket win against Attock

The second game on the first day of National Bank of Pakistan T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2015 Bahawalpur that took place on Friday saw Islamabad take on Attock at Dring Stadium Ground No.2 Bahawalpur. Islamabad emerged victorious, winning by 9 wickets. Islamabad’s Muzaffar Ali was named Man of the Match.

Attock started at bat after Islamabad won the toss.  They put up 112 runs while losing 6 wickets before their allotted 20 overs finished.  Scoring was evenly distributed with Gulab Khan leading in scoring with 26. Zeshan Gul and Mustafa Kamal each shared a wicket during their team’s at bat.  Islamabad’s turn at bat was dominated by batsman Muzaffar Ali.  He scored 76 unbeaten runs, while chasing a target of 9.2 overs for a loss of 1 wicket.

 

In other matches on the first day of competition at the  National Bank of Pakistan T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2015 Bahawalpur, Karachi lost to Peshawar at the Dring Stadium Ground No.1 Bahawalpur, Quetta lost to Faisalabad by 8 wickets at Sadiq Public School Cricket Ground, Bahawalpur, Bahawalpur won by 9 wickets in their game against AJK at Dring Stadium Ground No.1 Bahawalpur, Lahore came away victorious by 6 wickets in their meeting with Abbottabad at Dring Stadium Ground No. 2 Bahawalpur, and Gujranwala beat Okara at Sadiq Public School Cricket Ground, Bahawalpur.

 

The competition features twelve teams divided into two pools.  Pool A includes Islamabad, Azad Kashmir, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Okara and Quetta.  Pool B includes Karachi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Peshawar, Abbottabad and Attock.  The competition’s defending champion is Islamabad. Group play continued Saturday, Sunday, and yesterday.  The semi-finals are scheduled for today, with the finals scheduled for tomorrow at the  Dring Stadium Ground No.1.
