Portugal men wins INAS European Handball Championship

This past Friday in Fafe,  Portugal came away victors at the inaugural Inas European Handball Championships.  They met France in the final after going undefeated in round robin play. In the final, they won 27 – 10 after leading 11 – 3 at the half.



Poland finished third.  In the opening match of the competition, Portugal beat France 20 – 9. The second match of the competition saw Poland dispatch France 18 – 16.  Portugal beat France 27 – 17 in the last round robin match.


Competition got underway on Tuesday. The inaugural competition is taking place in Fafe, Porutgal, and was organized by Associacão Nacional Desporto Deficiência Intelectual – Portugal. It was originally scheduled to take place in December of last year, but the dates were later pushed back.
