Predators win Australian Electric Wheelchair Hockey Association Grand Final

Earlier today, the Predators won the Australian Electric Wheelchair Hockey Association Grand Final after defeating the Hawks 4 – 2.  The Vipers finished third, beating the Vikings 4 – 3 in the other finals match.

The Predators had one of the best records in the league going into the semi-final series.  At the end of round 12, they had a record of 9 – 2 – 1.  In head-to-head match ups against the Hawks this season, they had beat them 9 – 2, lost 3 – 6, won 14 – 6, and won 14 – 1.

 

Jordan Crane finished the 2014/2015 season as leading goal scorer with 47 goals, playing in only 11 games of 14 game season.  He also finished as the league’s leader in assists with 7.

 

In end of the season awards, James Kim was named the Predators Best and Fairest, Andrew Kim was named the Vikings Best and Fairest, Michael Foxall was named the Hawks Best and Fairest, and Christopher Suffield was named the Vipers Best and Fairest. Ralph Hasna was given the Referee’s Award, while the Jeremy Doyle Award went to Jordan Crane.
