Seattle Thunderbird Sled Hockey finish fourth at Sledge Hockey Showdown 2014

With the sixth edition of the Sledge Hockey Showdown 2014 having wrapped up this Saturday in British Columbia, Canada, the Seattle Thunderbird Sled Hockey finished fourth in the five team deep competition.



As a new team, the Seattle Thunderbird Sled Hockey had a number of team firsts in the competition. They scored their first competition goal, had their first shootout, and notched their first ever win.


Following the competition, the team returned to Seattle and had their regularly scheduled Sunday practice at the Sno-King Arena – Renton. The team is recognized by USA Hockey and USA Disabled Hockey, is supported by Seattle Adaptive Sports, and participation is open to both men and women. They are coached by Patrick Schneide,
