Spanish futsal club C.D.S. Huelva wins first game of Deaf Champions League in Graz

Earlier today, Spanish futsal club C.D.S. Huelva won their opener of Deaf Champions League in Graz.  They beat two time French champion side C.S.S. Reims 5 – 1 in their goal of defending their title.



Their second game against Danish side Globe Sports gets underway at 3:00 PM local time.  Globe Sports drew 1 – 1 in their opener against Portuguese side AS Porto.  The four teams were drawn in Group D last night.  Reims plays AS Porto at 4:00 PM local time.  The French then meet Globen Sport at 8:00 PM local time.


Last night, Huelva were also selected as the co-hosts of the 2016 edition of the Deaf Champions League.  The men’s and women’s competition will also be played in Portugal.  It is the first time the competition will be held in two countries. José María Benabat was the major force behind getting Huelva  selected as hosts.
