Sweden and Belgium qualify for men’s 2015 Deaf European Football Championship in Hannover

Yesterday, some qualification games were competed for the 2015 Deaf European Football  Championship in Hannover, with the result that Sweden and Belgium have qualified to compete.



In yesterday’s action, Sweden took on Great Britain.  The teams were tied 0 – 0 at the half, before Great Britain went ahead in the 48th minute off a goal by Andy Reay who plays for Doncaster DFC.  A goal by Swedish player Masso in the 74 minute brought the game to a tie.  Great Britain will continue their road to qualification by next playing against Norway.


The Ukraine took on the Czech Republic in another qualifying game, which saw the Ukrainian side dominate the Czech side from start to finish.  The team took a 4 – 0 lead into half time, and ended the game 7 – 0.  The game was played in Uzhgorod, in the west of the Ukraine.
