This article is a series of language learning posts by ParaSport News.  The goal is to provide sport fans some very basic sport and Paralympic vocabulary so you can talk with the world about disability sport at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio.

Danish is spoken by 5.6 million speakers, with the language native to Denmark, Greenland, and Faroe Islands.  It is also a recognised minority language in Germany.  Denmark is 27th all time in total Paralympic medals, so finding Paralympians to talk up should be easy enough.
