Tiro a Volo Italiani Paralimpici scheduled to start Thursday with 34 Italian shooters participating

On Thursday, Tiro a Volo Italiani Paralimpici, the Italian national clay, trap, skeet, double trap and target shooting championships are scheduled to get underway at the Umbriaverde Sporting & Resort in Massa Martana Perugia. 34 Italian shooters are scheduled to compete.



Beyond the local azzurri competitors, 20 international competitors will also be competing from countries that include Spain, New Zealand, India, Brazil, Iran, Great Britain, Finland and Denmark.  Total, there are 22 sitting competitors and 32 standing shooters.


The first two days of the competition will be for classification and practice, with shooting actually getting underway on Saturday at 11:00 local time on six different fields.  The skeet shooting part is part of an initiative by Federazione italiana Tiro al Volo and the International Paralympic Committee as a trial for the discipline.
