Turkey’s men scheduled to play Belarus in European Deaf Futsal Championships quarterfinals

After defeating Switzerland 8 – 0 to finish first in their group at the European Deaf Futsal Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, Turkey’s men have qualified through to the quarterfinals where they will play Belarus on Tuesday at 3:00 PM local time. In their earlier games, the Turkish men had a 4 – 4 draw against Israel, and a 3 – 1 against Hungary.



Turkey’s women’s team has also done pretty well.  In their game against Denmark, they easily won with a score of 9 – 1.  They also easily defeated English by a score of 16 – 0.  The women have one game left in group play against Hungary.


The competition continues all week, and concludes with the men’s and women’s medal games on Saturday.  The competition has been organized by the Bulgarian Deaf Sports Federation.
