The United States men’s national team started their selection camp  on Friday at the Olympic Training Center Jin Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Running until Tuesday, it is an important first step for players hoping to make the team for the  2015 Parapan American Games and eventually the 2016 Summer Paralympics.  Amongst the things players have been working on at camp include their transition game.

USA national team coach Ron Lykins has a team in a preparation year, building on recent successes. The United States men finished with a bronze medal in London, and a silver medal at the 2014 IWBF men’s wheelchair basketball world championships held last year in Incheon, South Korea.

Two players at camp include San Diego based Wolfpack Wheelchair Basketball team members Anthony McDaniel Jr. and Jorge Salazar, who have been doing well so far.
